Effizienzagentur NRW (Efficiency Agency NRW) and CIRCO will dive deep into the design of your business model and into the problems you solve. You are invited to rethink your business model, explore how to think out-of-the-box and find new ways and methods to find solutions towards a circular economy.

Immerse yourself in the world of the Circular Economy with the renowned strategy game "Make it Circular!" co-developed by the trainer Susanne Mira Heinz on behalf of Acatech, WWF Germany, and Johannes Kepler University Linz (JKU). The game uses a card deck and guided team activities to help participants rethink their business strategies. During the game, you'll explore 3 out of 43 circular business models in depth, learning how they can be practically applied to your company. Through interactive play and strategic thinking, you will discover how to reach a higher product-service level, which best practices already exist, how to re-design your product for servicification and circularity, identify necessary partners, and leverage digital technologies. Develop your own ambitious business strategy in a playful manner and get inspired!

During the pitch training sessions with Carsten Gerhardt, you will take a first look at your pitch deck and your read deck together.

The pitch training session begins with a joint introduction into the topic.

In this practice-oriented workshop, Christian Herrendorf, journalist and member of the Circular Valley team will introduce you to the basics of press and communication work based on the PressKits you sent us. He will explain how to write compelling press releases and how to increase the likelihood that newspapers will cover your startup.

Together with Michael Dammer and two partner companies, the focus will lie on the individual technologies of the participating startups. You will learn how to stand on a stage, how to use your voice and how to breath and keep calm before going on stage.

In this session we will cover core elements of German business culture. We will look at typical communication styles, professionalism expectations and work practices. Finally, you will receive practical tools and strategies to interact successfully in German business environments.

The start-up BIOWEG is a biotech company that produces sustainable bio-based ingredients to replace microplastics. Prateek is the founder of BIOWEG and was part of the second batch of the Circular Economy Accelerator.

In this session, you will present your startup and your business model in short pitches. Afterwards, a person from another startup will pitch your company and your business model so that you can see what really reaches your audience and what you still need to work on.

This workshop highlights how growing teams that are also undergoing transformation processes can be strengthened by a value-orientated corporate culture and employee-oriented leadership concepts. With a particular focus on the fulfilment of basic psychological needs and dealing with stress and strain, strategies for sustainable team dynamics and handover of responsibility are developed together.

Some of you have asked for a time slot in which you can exchange ideas with each other in a structured way. On Wednesday, 13 November, we will have our mandatory final rehearsal and afterwards we would like to give you the opportunity to exchange ideas as startups of this batch.

In this session, you will focus on your company's greatest weakness and develop strategies based on this so that your weakness no longer poses a threat to your company.
