The Circular Valley® Forum
is the grand finale of the sustainability trilogy

On November 18th, the largest conference on the circular economy will take place in the extended Rhine-Ruhr region. In the run-up to the event, there will be two opportunities to delve deeper into focal points of the Circular Valley® Forum: Bioeconomy and Sustainable Construction.
Wuppertal will be under the sign of sustainability in October and November. Around 600 guests from politics, business, science and civil society are expected to attend the Circular Valley® Forum on November 18th. The Forum is not only the largest circular economy conference, but it is also the grand finale of a sustainability trilogy: the TechTour will kick off on October 4th and 5th, followed by the Drees & Sommer dialog on October 20th.

The TechTour brings exciting companies from the bioeconomy to Wuppertal. The "Bio-based Scaling & Finance Forum" on October 4th will feature numerous live and online sessions, aimed at introducing and presenting 40 companies of various sizes for strategic financing and partnerships.

On the second day, more than 30 selected "game changers" from this field will showcase their innovations for agriculture and forestry, bio-based chemicals, and care products. These game changers represent young companies in different development stages and are therefore interesting for different forms of investment (including seed, Series A). The TechTour community existed for more than 20 years, has been a guest in numerous cities in Europe and is now coming to Wuppertal for the first time. You can find more information here.

Circular Valley® and the TechTour are an excellent match as partners. Circular Valley® as an initiative for the circular economy will also expand its activities in the bioeconomy. Initiator Dr. Carsten Gerhardt and his team are planning an accelerator on this topic in the Rhenish Revier. It will be the initiative's second accelerator, following the Circular Economy Accelerator. The current funding program has supported more than 60 startups from five continents over the past year and a half: The young companies have further developed their business models with coaches and mentors in the expanded Rhine-Ruhr region and, thanks to the Circular Valley® network, have met numerous decision-makers from the established industry and science.

The internationally active consulting firm Drees & Sommer is specialized in construction and real estate topics. The company connects startups and established companies, business and science, to enable dialog at eye level. During the Drees&Sommer dialog on October 20th in Wuppertal, Drees & Sommer wants to develop future strategies for entire regions together with Circular Valley®. With a view to the region from Bonn to Münster and from the Rhenish Revier to East Westphalia-Lippe, the focus will be on circular solutions for products, buildings and cities. You can find out more about the Drees & Sommer dialog here.
