• Consumers expect mobile phones to last 5.2 years but usually only use them for 2.7 years before storing, disposing or discarding.

• Smartphones are repairable and high quality repair solutions exist both from producers and independent repair services.

• Repairability will only increase over the coming years as Right to repair comes into effect:

• Software updates should soon be available for all phones for five years after the placing the last unit of the model on the market
